Boxd Privacy Policy

Effective 16 October 2026

Boxd collects nothing about you itself. It has no accounts and no analytics. It does show ads, through Google AdMob, and Google's ad software collects some data to do that. This page says what stays on your device, what the ads collect, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

Boxd is published by WeThank Technologies FZE. This policy covers the Boxd app for iPhone and iPad. Our company details are on the Legal page.

What stays on your device

Your best score in each game, whether sound is muted, and which game you played last. These are saved on your device only, and deleting the app deletes them. Boxd does not send them anywhere.

Ads

Boxd shows ads through Google AdMob. There are two kinds, and never during a game:

  • a full-screen ad between games, now and then;
  • an ad you can choose to watch to get a Second chance on the game-over card.

To choose and show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software inside the app may collect and use:

  • your device's advertising identifier, but only if you allow tracking (see Your choices);
  • other device identifiers, your IP address, and the approximate location that gives;
  • device and app details such as the model, iOS version, language and app version;
  • how you interact with ads;
  • diagnostic information such as crashes and performance.

We do not receive this data. Google gives us only aggregated reports on how ads perform and what they earn, not personal information about you. Google and its advertising partners handle the data as described here:

Your choices

  • Consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and some US states), Google's consent message appears when you first open Boxd, before any ad is requested. If you don't consent where consent is required, Boxd shows no ads. You can change your answer at any time with the Privacy button on the game-over card, which appears only where the law requires it.
  • Tracking. iOS asks whether Boxd may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, you may still see ads, but they are not personalised using your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  • Google's own controls. You can manage ad personalisation for your Google account at My Ad Center.

Purchases and accounts

Boxd has no in-app purchases and no accounts.

Children

Boxd is a general-audience game and is not directed at children. Boxd itself collects no personal information from anyone, and the ads it shows are general-audience ads.

Your rights

Boxd holds no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to look up or delete. For data that Google holds, use Google's tools above. If you have a question or want to exercise a privacy right, write to us at the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page, and the app's privacy details on the App Store, before the change reaches you.
