Birdie
A calm measuring puzzle.
Land every bird on the dark sleeve of its wire, and the switch throws itself. For iPhone and iPad.
Coming soon to the App Store
Every move sends as many birds as will fit.
Tap a wire to lift its flock, tap another to send it. You never choose how many fly: they all go, or as many as there is room for. So you can’t split a flock by hand. You have to measure with the wires themselves.
How it plays
Lift a flock
Tap a wire. Its birds lift off, ready to fly.
Send it
Tap another wire. As many birds land as it has room for.
Throw the switch
When every bird is on a sleeve, current runs down the line and the circuit closes. Run out of moves first, and the ones on bare copper get a shock.
A look inside

A flock in flight between the wires, past a pool flamingo on the river.
Every bird on a sleeve: the switch throws itself and the current runs.
Level complete, in the fewest moves: a gold medal.
Some levels cross a road, with traffic passing under the wires.
A wrong throw: birds left on bare copper get a cartoon shock.
The sun sets over every level, and the houses put their lights on.
What’s inside
- 200 levels in 20 groups, each named for a bird, from Sparrow to Eagle. Every one is solvable, and checked by computer.
- A gentle start. Level 1 walks you through it move by move, and the bulb shows the next move of a shortest solution whenever you’re stuck.
- No dead ends. Undo any move and restart any time. You can always get back.
- A small world around the wires: sunsets, rivers, roads, boats and houses whose lights come on at dusk.
- Accessible. Plays fully with VoiceOver, where every wire tells you its birds, its room and its sleeve. Larger text and Reduce Motion are supported.
